Our mission is to inform, educate and innovate the next generation for social care.
After 50 years of ongoing social care funding issues, we recognise that these challenges are unlikely to be resolved in the near future. Consequently, Social Care Yorkshire is charting a new course by focusing on the next generations of social care users and staff.
We have divided our core mission into 3 basic principles.
At Social Care Yorkshire, we are committed to providing clear, actionable insights that empower care providers, industry leaders, and policymakers. We deliver data-driven research, service mapping, and sector analysis, ensuring professionals have access to the latest knowledge needed to navigate the evolving social care landscape
We believe that continuous learning drives excellence in social care. Through targeted training, webinars, and industry insights, we equip professionals with the tools to enhance workforce resilience, service efficiency, and strategic decision-making. Our focus is on supporting organisations in developing forward-thinking, informed approaches to care provision
Innovation is at the heart of transforming social care. We collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement new service models, digital transformation strategies, and sustainability initiatives. By exploring AI, workforce optimisation, and renewable solutions, we help the sector remain adaptive, efficient, and future-ready.
We believe that different age groups have different needs in terms of education and information so we have divided our strategy into three groups.
Young people aged 13-25 represent the next generation of the social care workforce. Whether entering through apprenticeships, education pathways, or first-time employment, this group brings fresh perspectives, adaptability, and a digital-first mindset. Our mission is to inform, educate, and innovate to ensure they have clear career pathways, access to training, and opportunities to make a meaningful impact in social care
Professionals aged 25-50 form the core of the social care sector, bringing experience, leadership, and specialised expertise. Many in this group seek career progression, leadership roles, or opportunities to innovate within their field. Social Care Yorkshire supports them by providing up-to-date industry insights, professional development, and forward-thinking approaches to ensure they thrive in a rapidly evolving sector
Social care benefits enormously from the knowledge, resilience, and experience of those aged 50-75. Many within this group are long-standing professionals, mentors, or transitioning into advisory roles. Their contributions shape best practices, support workforce retention, and drive innovation through wisdom and leadership. Social Care Yorkshire ensures they remain engaged, valued, and equipped with the tools to continue shaping the future of social care.
